Crash and not so much burning

Beyond the Rack started their clearance sale yesterday and I just couldn't resist. I nabbed a pair of sunglasses. The only things that went through my mind were: shipping was decent, customs wouldn't bone me, they were a great discount, and.. they weren't clothing related?!

You see, I've had this bet going on with a friend, I wasn't allowed to buy anything clothing related for the next two months. Oh the blasphemy! Obviously, sunglasses are clothing related. Obviously, I lost my bet. About time. I'm not too upset about losing the bet because now all the pressure and torture comes off and I can look at sales as a sane person. It might be a good thing! I just stepped away from watches and jeans - I don't really need it, right? On top of that, the server is going whack and everything is crazy slow. It drove me nuts so I just gave up. I applaud you, Beyond the Rack, for not having such a crappy reserve/hold cart system. Unlike Hautelook, yours actually works.

On a side note: Crazy sale on RTC, FML.

Because sitting in an empty office is the best way to spend a Sunday night...

I’ve had this account sitting here for quite awhile now... It’s a habit of mine – to sign up on various websites and never touch them or I’ll log on when I’m intensely bored. I’m going to make an effort on this blog and try to post regularly instead leaving it all behind after this entry is completed. So, why now? Well, I’m stuck at the office on a lonely Sunday night and the only interaction I’m going to have for the next few hours is with random people on the other end of the phone line. It’s quite sad that I’ve started to recognize names and voices of individuals that don’t even work out of this office. As well, there’s a lovely puddle in the kitchen area since SOMEONE thinks the definition of “clean” and “acceptable” is water all over the countertop and the floor... On the bright side, the HTML crunching for the site is nearly complete – I’m not that rusty after all! And it’s not too bad when I can bring my own laptop to do whatever.

I just HAD to rant – but really, blogging is a fun thing to start, yes? I’ll just start nice and slow till I get a handle of things. The words just don’t flow as easily as they used to.

Allow me to introduce myself - I’m Myrna and I am a shopaholic. I don’t care how much it hurts the wallet (well, maybe just a little) but I embrace my addiction. As well, I love to influence others to exercise their own piggy banks. I’ve been told that I have ruined one’s life but at least their closet is exploding with happiness. I buy clothes and if I’m banned I turn to makeup; if I have a ban on makeup, I go after shoes – it’s a beautiful, never ending cycle. The first thing I do in the morning is switch on the ol’ laptop and I check all my emails hoping for an awesome deal (and also die a bit inside since I’m not allowed to buy for the time being). It’s hilarious even when you’ve banned yourself from buying from a certain website (*cough* redtagcrazy *cough*), you insist on watching the sales regardless AND you think it’s an enjoyable form of torture (Yes, I fail). Pretty things catch my eye and it’s hard to pass up an awesome deal. My want list is endless and I constantly have a “need” in my mind. But I am a poor university student fulfilling my addiction with a measly part time job – I’ll have to manage for now...

So, I’ve just made a folder for myself called “blog”, which pushes me to add more things to it. Random pictures, more posts, HOPEFULLY I don’t get lazy. It’ll probably be mostly shopping things but I’ll throw in a nice mix of other things. I should think of a nice title for the blog...

Be patient with me... I'll get used to this yet.
